    HyperGuest and Tourplan Announce New Connection

    HyperGuest, a leading global B2B hotel distribution marketplace and Tourplan, the world’s leading software solution for tour operators and destination management companies, have announced the release of a new connection between their systems.

    The connection enables Tourplan’s clients to seamlessly search and book hotels, as well as gain access to real-time rates and availabilities.

    Tourplan clients can now access and leverage HyperGuest’s network of top providers in the hospitality technology sector and B2B distribution channels, meaning clients can better streamline operations and pursue more growth opportunities.

    Tourplan NX Version 2: Transforms the global travel industry

    Tourplan’s next evolution of flagship software will drive efficiencies and empower Tour Operators and Destination Management Companies (DMCs) globally.

    Tourplan, the world’s leading software system for Tour Operators and DMC’s, has today announced the launch of Tourplan NX Version 2, the most significant upgrade to its flagship software since 2017.

    Tourplan NX Version 2 encompasses a range of updated features designed to improve user experience and streamline operations, such as wide-screen user interface for enhanced productivity, refined selling channel controls for improved product distribution management, and the provision of product-level pickup points for greater flexibility selling and operating scheduled tours and services.

    Additional upgrades include the introduction of online supplier confirmations and automated supplier payments through Virtual Credit Card (VCC) integrations. To better serve Tourplan’s international client base, NX Version 2 expands on its multi-language features and includes user interface capability in multiple languages including Chinese, English, French, German, Japanese and Spanish, alongside translation facilities for selected supplier and product fields. New text fields have been added to increase the available space for product descriptions.

    As we mark off the months of 2017, it’s all systems go in the various Tourplan offices around the world. Regional sales and support teams report extensive interest in the full range of Tourplan products and services, with flexibility being key to meeting the needs of prospective and existing clients alike.

    We’ve just been doing some number crunching and from January to July this year we’ve welcomed 30 new clients to the Tourplan community! Of those, 7 have elected to use our hosting services from the outset, joining the many more who have chosen this option and/or switched from in-house hosting since it became available in 2015. Whether it be a boutique 2-5 user team or a company with 100s of users, the Tourplan system is able to scale and adapt to help you increase sales and reduce costs.     A New Look For WebConnect

    Tourplan’s flagship B2B distribution website, webConnect, has had a major styling update plus additional functionality including advanced search filtering and agent specific welcome messages. Key new features include:

    1. New styling

    • Responsive (screen + tablet), modern style
    • Includes 5 different pre-set banner/header templates
    • New home page sliders.

    2. Login

    • Forgot password page, with email functionality
    • Different post-login content per agent

    3. Online bookings changes

    • Search from and to date for accommodation services
    • Search by pax numbers for non-accommodation services
    • New advanced search filters on the left, allowing filtering of search results by:
      1. Amenities (Supplier and Product)
      2. Class
      3. Locality
      4. Database Analysis Codes
    • Search results shows number of products found at top
    • Revamped addService page with user-friendly friendly pax entry details
    • New “Modify Search” links on the addService page to allow for easy re-searching if wrong date/rooms selected.

    4. Availability Search Changes

    • Clicking the product/date on the Availability Search page will take you to search results, and will automatically show the results for the product and date selected. This allows agents to see and check the price and description before booking.

    Tourplan Hosting Proving Popular

    Clients no longer have to look elsewhere for support for their Tourplan hardware and operating environment needs. Tourplan Hosting Services offer a real alternative to ‘going it alone’ in the IT sphere, by taking care of the server specifications, security, performance monitoring, data backups, disaster recovery, the integration of the various Tourplan platform components, and additional third party software (including installation and licencing).

    “This initiative had been in the planning stages for some time”, says Drewe Hinkley, Head of Infrastructure Services at Tourplan. “It was exciting to see the first hosting client ‘live’ earlier in 2015, and since then we’ve been inundated with requests for hosting from both new and existing clients. We’re delighted with how the services are being received”. All that’s needed to run Tourplan from the hosting services is a device that can access the internet. Pricing is designed to be tailored and affordable.

    Tourplan Announces Seamless Integration with the World Top Channel Managers

    Tourplan clients in 54 countries now have access to hotel rates and availability online from Siteminder, Travelclick (formerly EZYield) and ERev Rate Tiger channel manager systems. Tourplan will roll out its new connectivity and distribution strategy through roadshows held in 10 cities during September/October and at World Travel Market 2014.

    Many of our clients, particularly in Australia and Europe have been frustrated with the complexity of traditional hotel connectivity options. These developments clear the way to an open highway for online bookings through the Tourplan channel. A huge breakthrough for the traditional distribution network.

    “Initially we are distributing Best Available and Advance Purchase products, but we see dynamic nett rates, and availability-only bookings on the short term radar”, says Tourplan founder and CEO Peter Trumic.
